Weekend Wrap Up

Okay sorry for the 100 updates today but I am dying to be caught up (which I will accomplish by THIS week!) :)

I felt I had to post about the last couple of days...

I have been dying to dye (ha) my hair but I haven't been able to decide what on earth to do with it.  Well finally, I decided I would get some minimal highlights put in it.
Friday, I went to Toni & Guy and spent most of my night there getting my partial highlights done.  I LOVE IT!! I seriously had been in a MAJOR slump with my hair and HATED how it looked every time I went to the mirror.  The color was just yuck! Now it looks like I am ready for summer and I even feel better about myself & my looks- I am not shallow but I had just been getting down on myself for looking .... um... gross. ha! (I know it was not that bad to everyone else but I saw it).

Saturday I slept in *yay* and had lunch with K.  Then Sat night I met up with my neighbor and some friends for my first game of BUNCO!  I have to say I had a BLAST and I even won BIG!! :) Its a great game to get a group together and play once a month or so *thats what they all do-- I was a sub last night*  But good times good times!

This morning K & I had planned on going to my besties for her baby shower and I was super excited about seeing her and their new house! K was pumped to hang out with her hubby too!  Unfortunately, I woke up feeling icky this am.  :( it was def no way to spend a 5 1/2 hour car ride so we opted out.  :( I hope you had a great day, Erin! I missed you and your baby *& B* a ton *so did karl* but we hope to see you soon!

This afternoon K & I were just laying around watching basketball GO DUKE and flipping between the race when our doorbell rang.  Our sweet little next door neighbor who isnt quite 2 was banging on the door :)  We went outside and talked to his mommy and grandma for some time and ended up they invited us over for dinner! Jeremy grilled up some amaaazing pork chops along with some potatoes, pasta, bread, green beans, corn, and maaaan! it was delish! After dinner we were sitting around talking when we realized the not quite 2 year old was missing... we knew he was up to no good!  When we finally found him-- he was sitting in the empty bathtub (he had already gotten his bath for the night earlier) in his PJ's, covered in liquid baby soap and shampoo.  he had it all over his clothes and in his hair.  It was quite the hoot. 

Tomorrow- back to the grind-- only 10 more weeks and 3 days until summer (not that I am counting) hahahahah

St. Patty's Day!

man am i lovin spring break!

what am i up to? NOTHING! you got that right... I am sleeping 11-12 hours a night, running errands, and hanging out with my hubby relaxing.  its GREAT!

Ill be honest- I was dreading having nothing to do over the break but I am enjoying it!


oh and while I'm at it... Happy St. Patty's Day!!

What did I do today? Dear hubs was off work today so we slept in together, went to lunch at K's fav sub shop- Jersey Mike's (we didnt know there was one near us and he said it totally made his day to discover this new one!), did a lot of driving around, talking, enjoying the nice day, went to the park, walked around by the lake, and laid around watching tv hanging out.  oh and tonight he had a soccer game and it was actually early enough that I got to go! Sadly, not enough of his lousy teammates showed so they had to forfeit! sad day! I still had fun watching them K run around looking all fly scoring all those goals ha ! They played a scrimmage and had a lot of fun I think! Oh! and did i mention the place they play sells dip-n-dots in a prepackaged deal?! it totally made my night! we went to dinner at the chick-fil and then to my fav. yogurt place... yogurtland!! (do you see a pattern here? ha!)

Materninty Clothes and weekend preview

(this is going to be all over the place. sorry)

how is the last time i blogged wednesday? i am so tired all the time -- so much so that even some nights the computer doesn't even get turned on.  wheph!  Tomorrow I will be entering week 10! 
I have been meaning to type up some weekly updates and post them on here-- as i have sorta ... been keeping track of my weeks since about week 6. 
Today, I have a busy day-- I am going to meet one of my old young life girlies for "coffee" -- I won't be having any -- and catching up! I am super excited but wish I didn't feel like I was about to fall asleep!
Tonight, is a dear friend of mines Bachelorette party!! I am super excited for her :)
We have 5 more school days until Spring Break which I was VERY excited about going to the beach... but now k thinks that we should save our money and hang out here (thankful for him being the voice of truth- but sad that we probably wont be taking a trip  to the beach)
Yesterday, we had the "Fun Run" at school-- 1.4 mile run thru the neighborhood near out school and the kids had a BLAST (for the most part)-- I even ran a short distance of that. (major pat-myself-on-the-back-moment as I despise running)

SO... my jeans  are too tight. ugh. i have no clothes that fit me anymore- its really frustrating! I feel like I am an adolescoent again- you remember those days where you stopped fitting into "girls" sizes but weren't quite big enough to fit in the "teen" sizes... well thats where I feel I am.  I'm too big for my regular clothes and don't see the point in buying larger "regular" clothes when in a few short weeks I am sure I will be needing to get into some maternity clothes.  But at the same time- right now, I'm not quite large enough to fit maternity clothes... ugh. 
But- Thursday night, after dinner, I had had ENOUGH. My pants felt like they were cutting me in half so I talked K into going shopping with me at Target.  I found a pair of maternity jeans that were VERY comfie- and caved and bought them.  My hips and butt aren't quite enough to "properly" hold them up but hey, anything was better than being miserable in my older clothes.  SO there you have it... first maternity purchase right there in week 9...some may tell me there is no way I need these yet but honestly- i didn't see the point in buying just a size larger in  "regular" clothes to not fit them in 2 weeks.  So yea...

you cant tell me that these dont scream COMFIE! :)

miscellany monday! & weekend wrap up all in one!

1)its so monday... i feel as tho all life and energy have been sucked right out of me. Praying for a more energy filled Tuesday!

2) i miss the weekend already- K & I enjoyed a nice relaxing day together on Sunday! Church with Tara, Kris & Erin followed by Red, Hot & Blue BBQ to which K was NOT impressed but I found it pretty good :) ! OH and did I mention it was in the 80's here... if only we had a pool or ours was open.

3)The Daytona 500 was a super exciting race-- I'm not one to normally get into Nascar but it sure was neat seeing a kid (literally) who won only on his second race in this series and who just celebrated his 20th bday the day before! Crazy

4)SPRING BREAK on my mind... yes 2 weeks and 4 days of school to go-- I am DEF. counting!

7) I cooked dinner for the first time in forever, tonight... grilled chix, twice baked potatoes and rolls. delish! (don't hurl the insults yet, I'm still trying to be a better housewife but it just doesn't come naturally in this department!) ha!

6) and not to leave you hangin ... but ... there are some pretty exciting things going on in the life of my family right now and I would appreciate your prayers for good health and happy hearts! :)

Okay yall I am so thrilled. For multiple reasons!!

1. What inspires you?  The little babies that I teach everyday... they inspire me to love better and to teach better.  They also remind me that there is a little child in us all ... or some of us maybe a LOT ha :)

2. What is your favorite season and why?  Well... you can pretty much take Sarah's answer and copy and paste it here. Except I'm not as cool as her because I don't have a drop top, sad day.  ha!  But really, I LOOOVE summer! I love spending time with my family and now that I am a teacher I just am so excited that I will get to really enjoy this time again. I have grow up going to my families beach house every year during the summer... such great memories there such as K proposing to me... swoon!

 3. What are you most looking forward to this year? A new life... new adventures... and spending it with the ones I love the most!! And right now- spring break (at the beach hopefully) and summer ha! {seriously though}

 4. If you could write a book about anything, what would it be about? Honestly, I  could never!  I am so ADD that I can barely sit still long enough to write a blog entry without being distracted. ha! If I did though, maybe funny quotes of my daddy and the fun slangs that he used to create... or so we thought he created... "Riders on the Storm!" haha

5.What is your greatest passion? LOVING the Lord by far is my GREATEST!  Even though I do not deserve it at all he loves and forgives me a million times over and over and over! Other than Him... it would be loving kids. And loving others- I'm not great at it I will admit but I do genuinely love people and am a huge people person!

 6. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?  I would be less lazy and less self-conscious and less judgmental and critical of myself and others.  I have tons of room for growth here!

7.  Lastly, What is your favorite Novel? By far it has to be The Notebook and The Wedding.  Those books were sooo great and the Notebook was so way better than the movie its not even funny!! MMM romance!
