Guess What!?

Hey y'all!! I am sure many of you probably wondered if I had fallen off the face of the earth... believe it or not, thanks to gravity, I'm still here :)

We have been so busy the past three+ months I have not even logged into blogger! I am so ashamed!  The past three months have been totally igzilirating! Nothing shy of exciting, fun, and sometimes stressful. Having two babies 19 months apart is FUN. It really is but as we like to say... our hearts are full, and so are our hands!

I would like to say that I am going to catch you up on everything but I don't know that I will honestly be able to do that, so why don't we just pick up where we are now!

Here is a quick overview of this summer: We have been to the mountains, to the beach, to the pool, K and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary (We went to dinner at Bonefish grill without the kids {squeal!} and he got me a beautiful James Avery charm of a Texas flag since thats where we got married- I got him nothing :-/ ) hah! , played with family, played with friends, spent time outside, spent time playing inside (its rained a ton of the summer!) and much more I'm sure I am forgetting! :-P

Savannah Jane is 3 1/2 months old (gasp!) and Raleigh Grace is almost 23 months old (double gasp!!) Time has not slowed a second since Miss SJ entered the world, but its sped up 100% I feel like!

In less than TWO weeks my beautiful sister is going to marry the man of her dreams! We are so excited for her I can hardly stand it!

oh oh oh!! and I almost forgot!! I have not posted anything on the blog about it yet (I don't think?) but for Mother's Day (I know, ages ago!) K got me my own embroidery machine!! I have been having soooo much fun making things for the girls and also for friends and family! Let me tell you- it was not so easy to learn and it's no quick project either BUT it's something that I have really grown to love doing! It's rather time consuming so any free time I manage to get I like to whip up a fun shirt or other project- which has something to do with why my poor blog got pushed to the back burner :( .  Sad but true.  I miss blogging and and I miss all of you! I hope to be back more often now! :)

Beachin It!

So, First things first... I just realised that my post yesterday, about my Daddy's Birthday, was my 400th post!! Wahoo! :) 

Moving on...

Not this weekend, but the weekend before, K, myself and my friend, Tara, all went to the beach! We had such a great time! The weather was warm but not HOT and it was so sunny! We walked on the beach, watched the Baylor men play some basketball, ate a lot, finished a book, baked cookies, and overall, just enjoyed spending some time together! This trip totally put me in the mood for summer! yay!!

to the mountains. to my hubby!

As most of you know, hubby has been out in the mountains working for the summer.  Its great that he is getting to do this but I really hate not getting to see him everyday... better yet, only getting to see him about once a week or less is a major bumm-er!
Anyways, last night my step-mom and I drove up to visit K, my brother, and my father-in-law... they are all working at the Boy Scout Camp this summer.  It's about 2 hours away from here so my mom and I grabbed some lunch and then headed out.   We arrived about 4:45pm and hung out at the camp for a little while before heading to dinner.  We enjoyed our dinner and had a lot of fun just hanging out with the men!  After dinner we ran around wal-mart killing time and picking up some needs then headed back to the camp, went to the museum and hung out some more.  All in all, it was a great night!! :)  Here are a few pics from the night...

stormy, cool, productive day/ weekend wrap-up!

so this morning K & I woke up to some nice soft rain and distant thunder... it was great!  It is so nice to actually enjoy a storm without the fear of being blown away in a terrible tornado!  We enjoyed it awhile and slept in some more.  When we finally got up we decided it was a great day to go to ihop.  well apparently so did everyone else! ha there was a long line so we made a change of pace and took it to Palio's pizza.  Check out this awesome soda machine they had!  and these are just the "coke" products... they had at least 20 other drinks to chose from as well. pure genius!

After lunch, I had wanted to go try and find the car seat that we have picked out (i think) for sweet baby.  {side note- k worked last night and i spent my ennnntire night online buliding and researching things for our registry... needless to say I'm still not finished but we have a great start.  i hope its "ok" to have a registry at 3 locations?} so anyways, we go to wal-mart **bc K said he thought he had seen it there before** do what? has he been looking at car seats? oh yes, he confirmed that he had "browsed the isles" of the baby things before-- melts my heart. gasp.  (sometimes I never hear about such things if they don't randomly come up-- he doesn't offer up small details of his day from time to time. ) So we head over and they didn't have it. in fact they only had 2 infant car seats. major fail on their part.  so we do some grocery shopping and head home.  

At this point it had been raining on and off all morning but nothing major.  well we get home unload groceries and i attempt to pick up/clean up our house.  big success in our bathroom- I wish I would have taken a before and after pic! Before- you couldn't see in the mirror, or get to the counter, clothes on floor, and if you dared to touch anything under the sink an avalanche would have occurred.  all problems solved and even hung the BEAUTIFUL embroidered towels that my sweet freshman year roommate sent us for our wedding present! It looks great now!  I also washed about 3 loads of laundry and did our sheets! YAY! I just love the smell of fresh sheets and I am really bad about washing them every week.  The bedroom has been picked up, the clothes put away and most of the house vacuumed.  The kitchen is clean, dishes loaded in the dish washer and the living room is also picked up.  WHEPH! SOOO... do you think I am getting my energy back? Well, I was still exhausted but I must say yes! At least some of it! :) K, being the amazing hubby he always is, made us a yummy dinner and as we were eating we started to hear the thunder louder and some loud noises on the windows... look at what we found on the front porch. Oh! and did I mention it is 50 degrees and that I woke up with my ear stopped up? hopefully this too will pass sooooon! It seems like its a nice stormy fall day!

 ANNNND let me tell you... I am PUMPED that we only have 4 weeks left of school!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEEES!! I am so so so so so happy about that! Love those kids, but I am ready for my vacation! :)

1. What inspires you?  The little babies that I teach everyday... they inspire me to love better and to teach better.  They also remind me that there is a little child in us all ... or some of us maybe a LOT ha :)

2. What is your favorite season and why?  Well... you can pretty much take Sarah's answer and copy and paste it here. Except I'm not as cool as her because I don't have a drop top, sad day.  ha!  But really, I LOOOVE summer! I love spending time with my family and now that I am a teacher I just am so excited that I will get to really enjoy this time again. I have grow up going to my families beach house every year during the summer... such great memories there such as K proposing to me... swoon!

 3. What are you most looking forward to this year? A new life... new adventures... and spending it with the ones I love the most!! And right now- spring break (at the beach hopefully) and summer ha! {seriously though}

 4. If you could write a book about anything, what would it be about? Honestly, I  could never!  I am so ADD that I can barely sit still long enough to write a blog entry without being distracted. ha! If I did though, maybe funny quotes of my daddy and the fun slangs that he used to create... or so we thought he created... "Riders on the Storm!" haha

5.What is your greatest passion? LOVING the Lord by far is my GREATEST!  Even though I do not deserve it at all he loves and forgives me a million times over and over and over! Other than Him... it would be loving kids. And loving others- I'm not great at it I will admit but I do genuinely love people and am a huge people person!

 6. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?  I would be less lazy and less self-conscious and less judgmental and critical of myself and others.  I have tons of room for growth here!

7.  Lastly, What is your favorite Novel? By far it has to be The Notebook and The Wedding.  Those books were sooo great and the Notebook was so way better than the movie its not even funny!! MMM romance!
