A few nights ago I went to put Raleigh Grace to bed at her usual-ish bedtime of around 9pm. Or so I thought ... After about 30 minutes of blood curdling screaming and K and I both trying to calm her back to sleep unsuccessfully I decided I would try something else. I went in the room and got her up hoping that if I would nurse her again she might fall back asleep. Boy was I wrong! She wanted nothing to do with it but instead started climbing all over me and blowing bubbles on my belly making those hilarious (when coming from a toddler) noises that teenage boys like to make. I did what any GREAT mom would do and started laughing hysterically and I picked her up and brought her to bed with me. She immediately signs she wants to eat so K brings her some yogurt. After she was done with that i let her "settle down" with a pack of my pens... Oh my! The pictures that follow will show you that my friend Mallorie was right when she said that some of the best memories are made in times such as these. Raleigh Grace, you aren't 16 yet... Please don't ever stay up until MIDNIGHT again while you are in this house ha!! I love you, doll!
Party in the bed! I don't know what Chloe's deal is, but she's been waking about an hour and half after we put her down for the last several nights. We usually have to go get her, bring her in our room to watch tv for an hour or so, and then she'll go back down. It's making for one tired mama though. What's up with our girls not wanting to sleep anymore?
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like so much more fun than our sleepless night! Do you have abstract art all over your covers now? I know I would if Will had those pens.
