woah woah woah!! + Maternity pics!! :)

where have I been!?  Well let me see if I can explain...
Lets see...

Last Wednesday was family night at the camp where K has been working so my stepmom, grandaddy, aunt and I drove up for the night.  We enjoyed seeing the OA ceremony and also enjoyed some dinner together at our favorite local spot.  We also went and got sno-cones after dinner (I have been craving these like no other... sno cream flavor mmm!!) We took some pics but unfortunately all the pics from that night are on my aunts camera... lets see if I can eventually get those from her :)

After the ceremony my family went home and I got to stay at camp for a few nights! K had worked it out with the director of the camp that I could stay with a few nights and he even let us stay at HIS little house at the camp which was sooo generous! I had such a great time sleeping in and getting to see K every once-in-awhile when he had a break... he would poke his head in to say hi and we would grab dinner or lunch together. It was great.  I can not explain how much I enjoyed getting to be "with" him for once this summer! amazzzing I tell you, I have missed that man so much!!
Thursday night we went up to Winston-Salem to eat dinner and he took me to the Mellow Mushroom in downtown... we got a pizza and it was soo yummy! Here are some funny pictures - sorry for the iphone crappy quality...

So Friday night after K had finished work we had dinner and then went to meet a long lost friend... let me give you the background on this friend!

...over a year ago, when K and I were planning our wedding, we began looking for someone to do a "trash-the-dress" photo shoot for us.  We came across this AMAZING photographer named Patsy Brown (yup that would be K&I on the far right image on her homepage ;) ).  As soon as we found her site we knew that we had to have her! We planned our honeymoon in her neck of the woods so that we could get her to take some pictures of us.  The pictures that we have from her are literally the BEST pictures I have ever seen and we love them more than our wedding photos!  Anyways, through the past year or so we have always told Patsy that when its time for babies she better be ready! Well, as soon as we found out we were expecting guess who came to mind! Patsy!  Sadly, after the move we were completely strapped for $ and just didn't think we could afford it all... after all she does live 1/2 way across the country and all!  Well early last week (maybe sunday night?) I get a message on facebook from none-other than Mrs. Patsy herself! She was just saying "HI" and wondering where we were these days... well I wrote her back explaining that we had moved and that K was up in the mountains working and would be there for a couple more weeks.  Immediately we began messaging back and forth and to save you some of your precious time let me just tell you that she and her family were planning a vacation for THAT week... in the same itty-bitty-town where K has been working all summer (her in-laws live there)!!! She asked if she could take some pics of us and well... I dont even have to tell you what I said except for the fact I about fell out of my chair with excitement.... What in the world are the chances yall? God is so good!!

 so Friday night after dinner K & I met our long-lost-friend, Patsy, at a beautiful park in this small town and she took some AMAZING maternity pictures of us!! I will post some of them below.  If you just love them, please leave her a comment telling her on her blog. 
Friday night, after the pics K & I drove back home and called it a night, we got to spend the weekend working on unpacking some and Saturday he even made me breakfast in bed to keep me out of his hair while he was unpacking ;) hehe

Saturday for lunch we went to Qudoba... I think I like this place better than Chipotle (sorry!) but they had some delish queso and chips....

and not to mention... this made me smile :)

Saturday night we celebrated K's mom's bday at our fav. mexican resturant... Montey's...

complete with cake and sombrero :) she was very surprised :-D

Sunday we had lunch at my aunt and uncles house because the ac went out at my grandaddys house *and we thought at our house too but apparently it came back on Sunday after being 85 all day Saturday and all night... let me tell you-- that was haaard to sleep!* K had to go back to work Sunday and I watched home videos with my family. 

Sunday night was The Bachelorette, "the men tell all" !!

Yesterday, was quite a busy day... had my 30 week dr. apt which was great (I'll do my 30 week update, I promise... I know I missed 29 ... o-well.) Then last night was the Bachelorette finale!  I will admit I was not a huge fan of this season the whole time it was airing but MAN O MAN was the ending worth it!! This was the first time that I have watched that show and actually felt back for who-ever was going to be going home!  Of course ya'll know I was a JP fan all the way from their fist date in their pajamas... just too good together! So i was happy as a lark after he won last night.  (oh and I WILL be watching the Bachelor Pad as it airs next week... I hate Vienna and can't wait to see the drama with her, Jake and Casey! hahaha!)
So there you have it... sorta caught up now right? hah

well I was going to do my 29 week post today (a day or 2 late) but I am really exhausted so I think I will wait and do it when I have more energy... I'm in a state of BLAH right now and maybe its just because I'm tired... lets hope anyways!
this is totally NOT depressing because life can be so much worse but i am a little sad that I found my first few stretch marks on my belly tonight! I thought I had a scratch on my tummy and after looking closer I noticed there were 4 on the left of my belly button down low. then I just had to look again and find a couple of more on the right side.  I didn't think i was exempt from these bad boys but I really don't feel like my belly is 1/2 as large as it is going to be (according to what everyone tells me) so now I am a little freaked out that my tummy is going to look like a huge maze by the time this is all said and "done".  Oh the things we do for our little angels :) Love you Raleigh Grace and I will endure as many as these horrid things needed as to make your home the most cozy and nurturing place it can be :)

oh! yesterday, I spent an hour or two attempting to make some hair bows for Raleigh Grace-- let me just tell you- it wasn't as easy as I had expected... but I did end up with one or two "cute" ones... I really have a long ways to go though! ha {my cousin was helping me and at one point said, I think I'll just end up buying some bows... she might have the right idea! ha} I dont have any pics right now but will take some and post soon.


tomorrow, off to get my hair done. i always get nervous when I am getting anything done to my hair and this time is no different.  I'm just getting the highlights touched up, i hope i dont end up with orange hair... eek! I also am trying to finalize some "outfits" for my maternity shoot later this week.  i am terrible at picking out cute things and TOTALLY miss having roommates to pick out my outfits for me :(  I need to get some cute shoes and accessories tomorrow but I dont have the money to buy some for 100 different outfits... do you see my dilemma? ha!

good part of the day/night: hanging out with my friend heather, lunch with my stepmom at Oasis... mmm!, dinner- pizza with my stepmom and uncle glen who was in town, then bachelorette (which obama had to interrupt with his speech about the debt crisis... seriously, he should have done that speech earlier not in the middle of my show!ha)

1) 4:45 am does not work for this lady. not. at. all.  I have been exhausted since I woke up and feel like at this point I am barely functioning! 

as soon as I leave this lovely world I am going to attempt to catch some zzz's because tomorrow I will be up around the same time... why you ask?? well that leads me to number 2!

2)A BIG CONGRATS goes out to my amazing hubby who started his first day of work today!! I am so proud of him & love him so much!  This morning for some odd reason my body woke up at 4:45 for some odd reason & due to the fact that I knew K was going to be getting up within 30 minutes I could not for the life of me go back to sleep so I layed there until his alarm went off at 5:15 and got up.  Lets not forget to mention that we were up till around midnight last night.  I will not do this again on purpose...ever. ha! I do love that K has the (sorta)same schedule as me now!! Its great that we are up at the same time and FINALLY tired at the same time haha before his new job I was always wanting to go to bed at 10pm and he was just unwinding at that time... oh the joys!

3) Tonight for a celebration for the hubs we visited this yummy Hibachi (sp?) grill that is new to the area.  It was a nice treat with great company!! :)

4)I am so frustrated that I am behind on the Bachelor! I love that show but have not gotten into the swing of remembering to watch on Monday's!   At least I can watch online whenever I want and not be biting my nails for a week long waiting on the next episode right? haha

5)ZZZZZZZ's time :) yay!!

Aye Aye Aye!! (and no, I am not a pirate) but it has been ages since I have updated... so long ago that I have been.... unemployed, out of the state, my sweet friend got voted off the bachelor, and finished a week of work at the new job! Wheph! Lottts to catch ya'll up on!


Okay so I just finished watching The Bachelor tonight and I am so mad that he kept Vienna. Gross, just reminds me of Vienna saussage and ... GROSS! That is all I can say.
and for what it's worth, I LOVE Ali, she is my favorite and not only because we share our name.  I really hope Jake wakes up!
And now on to the BIG REVEAL.... if you all were wondering, I would like to introduce you to one of my best friends (and one of my bridesmaids...)

The Bachelor & Wishful Wednesday

And there he is...

Most of you either watched or have heard about The Bachelor, Jake Pavelka.  I love watching this show but have never been a die-hard viewer.  Except for this season.... for multiple reasons...

1. Jake is a good-ol Texas boy... or so they say ha! I even have a friend who lives down the street from him. Literally.  

2. One of my best friends from college is on the show. :) !!!!!

Before I break the news of who she is (if you know me personally you probably already know, so don't spoil the big reveal ha!) I want to know what you all thought of the first episode that aired on Monday night.

-What was your favorite part of the show?
-Funniest moment?
-The girl you love to hate?
-Who will he marry? 

Sorry for being obsessed with this show, I swear I'm not normally "obsessed" -- I just love watching someone I know on TV ha! Its such a weird thing ha

On a different note I have been dying to do a GIVEAWAY ... I have never done one. 

I have nothing special to celebrate (I don't have 100 followers, this isn't my 100th post or anything like that...) minus the fact that I just love to get things for free and I think that giving is equally or more fun!

Whooo will it be!?

MMM the smell of fall is in the air... literally ha! I have the pumpkin spice candles burning and the decor has been up for some time now... I have pictures that I will post later tonight. I have a glass of sweet red wine in hand and my hubby on my right side! Leftover dinner is warming and Dancing with the Stars is on. Not that I care about that show... BUT... tonight at the end of the show ABC TV network will be announcing who the Bachelor will be!!! I am trilled to death and hope so bad that it is Jake Pavelka!!!!! The show airs in January so until then they are just teasing us... :)

This is a perfect end to my already good day. A productive day at that... for once! Picked up the house, did laundry and put about 100 pounds of laundry away, as well as picked up the bathroom and slightly cleaned it- which was much needed!! Oh and to top everrrything else off... the hubby came home early tonight!!! Such a treat! Thank you Jesus for that blessing!
