33 Weeks!

How far along?
33 weeks!

Size of baby: Baby is the size of a pineapple... (I also read somewhere a honeydew?)

Here is what we have been up to this week:

Weight Gain: who cares really but 11lbs (none since my last 2 week apt.)

Maternity Clothes: almost 100%... minus my favorite shorts and k's tshirts and soccer shorts :)

Sleep: for the most part good... sometimes it takes me some time to fall asleep.  I am still making it through the night with only one potty break, unless I sleep more than 8 hours (which is always nice)! Sometimes when I try to go back to sleep I feel like I am wide awake... I also notice when I start stirring so does my baby girl :)

Best Moment of this week:
spending lots of qt with my hubby :)
also my iron count went up from 30.1 to 30.7 without taking my iron pills (yay!) pray it stays up or goes up more!

Symptoms:
mainly back pain and rib pain (burning feeling) often! Esp when I sit too long.  I don't enjoy long rides in the car anymore, my back almost always starts to hurt (not my lower back- just right behind my ribs and only on the right side).  She is always sitting up under my right rib.  The only way to make myself feel a little better is to get K to massage my back or lying down (I guess that makes more room for her?) ...  also occasional indigestion... I'm also bumping into more things and realizing I don't always fit through spaces I thought I would.  At one point this week I was telling K how I couldn't believe I was 32 weeks and how crazy that was but then I realized that meant 8 more to go and I proclaimed "i dont know if I can do this for 8 more weeks!" haha -- of course I can! I was just tired and at night I seem to be most uncomfortable and feel much larger than the mornings...

Movement: shes a moving a lot now.  bumps, kicks, punches, and twirling... I am jealous of those of you who know a fist from a foot... I have no idea but I assume she has her legs and booty tucked under my ribs... idk why I think that though.
tonight K was tickling my belly and she started kicking so maybe this girl is ticklish like her mommy?

Food cravings:
still love me some Mac's catfish ha! just food in general... I eat and then 3 hours later, I'm hungry again.  I love desserts too... no matter what :)
Aversions: I will eat mexican and I like it but it sure makes me have bad heart burn which I do not enjoy!

What I miss: getting in and out of bed, off the couch, out of a booth, etc. without some sort of help haha :) Sitting and standing over and over (at church!) is quite a task! ha

Gender: LOVE my little Raleigh Grace!!

What I'm looking forward to: getting our house unpacked... its been a week of both K and I working hardcore on it and we have managed to get a LOT done but I feel like our mess and stuff keeps multiplying... It WILL get done and we WILL get her nursery complete sometime haha (hopefully getting crib and changing table this week! horrah!)

Baby bump:

see the mess...ugh! please ignore ha still unpacking...

How your baby's growing:
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

how your body's changing:
As your baby fills out even more of your belly, lots of things might start to change: Whereas before you were sashaying, you may find yourself waddling. Finding an easy position to sit in — let alone sleep — is becoming more of a challenge. And bumping into chairs and counters is par for the course.
You may be feeling some achiness and even numbness in your fingers, wrists, and hands. Like many other tissues in your body, those in your wrist can retain fluid, which can increase pressure in the carpal tunnel, a bony canal in your wrist. Nerves that run through this "tunnel" may end up pinched, creating numbness; tingling, shooting or burning pain; or a dull ache. Try wearing a splint to stabilize your wrist or propping your arm up with a pillow when you sleep. If your work requires repetitive hand movements (at a keyboard or on an assembly line, for instance), remember to stretch your hands when you take breaks — which should be frequently.
Many women are still feeling sexy at this stage — and their partners often agree. You may need to make some adjustments, but for most women, sex during pregnancy is fine right up until their water breaks or their labor starts.
