Liebster Award Fun!

It's been awhile since I have seen awards floating around the blog world but a few days ago sweet  Jennifer from "All Because Two People Fell In Love" nominated me for the Liebster Award! Thanks so much girl!

If you are like me and are new to the Liebster award, it is awarded to new and upcoming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. The award is passed on to other bloggers in the same category to help spread their names around and support one another!

If you receive this award these simple rules must be followed...
  • The nominated blogger has to post 11 random facts about themselves
  • Answer the 11 questions the person who nominated them asked
  • Create 11 new questions for the those the blogger is nominated to answer
  • Choose 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers to nominate and link them on their blog post
  • No tag backs!

Okay, 11 Random Facts:
1.  I have been "married" twice to my one husband.  He and I were dating long distance and wanted to get married before living together and so we decided to get married at the historic courthouse in the town I lived and then plan a big formal wedding in the church I grew up in (located in both of our hometown.)
2.   I loved teaching 2nd grade and miss it so much but I can't imagine not being home with Raleigh Grace AND not to mention teachers here in NC get paid minimum wage (okay not really but close enough!)
3.   I really wish that ALL of my family lived in one place... I have family spread around the globe and it makes my heart ache... I'm constantly wanting to move to be near someone :(
4.   I used to want a handful of kids but after Raleigh Grace was born I was content with one (for the time being...) but K was the one who pushed for number 2 !
5.   I am one of 4 children but was an only child for 12 years -- I have a step sister who's 2 years younger than me, a half brother who is 10 years younger than me and a half sister who is 12 years younger than me.
6.   I LOVE picking out cute clothes for RG but my closet looks like a dump... I don't have 1/2 as many cute clothes as her and I don't ever shop for myself... it's way more fun to shop for her than me.
7.   I have a slight obsession with the beach... year round, hot or cold, rain or shine.  "If you're lucky enough to be at the beach, you're lucky enough!" Amen?!
8.  I've never thought of myself as a picky eater... until the past year- I have so much trouble making "meal plans" because it never fails that whatever is on the menu doesn't sound good that night.
9.  (number 8 leads me to number 9 which is:) We eat out WAAAY too much... probably more than any other family that reads this blog.  I'm not proud of that but thats what we do... I'd like to change that eventually- I know we could save hundreds of dollars a month if we cut back.
10.  Pregnancy is the only weight loss that I have ever been successful with-- both pregnancies I have lost 10+lbs! (Don't worry- I gained it back!)
11. I would LOVE to be able to make a "living" via my blog... who wouldn't though?

And for the questions Jennifer asked:
{1} If you could have any career, with money no object, what would it be?
I love staying at home but also teaching (I loved teaching 2nd grade sooo much-- definitely my passion!)
{2} Hands down, what is your ONE favorite mom blog?
hmm... probably Mallorie @ The Happy Home ;) Mainly because she is a super mom, and a super friend!! :) I love Mallorie to death- if you don't read her blog already you should!!
{3} What kind of car do you drive & why did you pick it?
Ford Mustang-- it was my 17th birthday present/graduation present from my Daddy and I am still driving it!  It's the only car I have ever had and it is very sentimental! And- it's paid for!  One day (hopefully sooner than later) I'd like to get a little larger car to tote my TWO munchkins around.
{4} What is your favorite feature about your significant other?
Like physical feature? I don't know that I can pick just one but I love his butt :), and his legs and arms and eyes... okay fine- everything! duh! :)
{5} What is your favorite Christmas song?
I don't have a favorite-- anything upbeat... and not The drummer boy or anything else that's played 999 times a day!
{6} Do you know any blog friends in the Houston area?
I do, but I have more real friends in Houston since thats where I'm from :)
{7} What has been your proudest moment thus far as a mom?
The seconds, and moments right after giving birth! And watching every single new milestone!
{8} Do you prefer to shop online or in store.  Why?
It depends... for something I know what I need and want shopping online is fun but if I'm looking for deals (or clothes for me) I like to go in store.
{9} How many kids do you want & how far apart in age do you want them. Why?
At least 2 ;) and about 19 months apart hehe! Beacuse that was God's plan for our lives as of now!! K and I always joke that we will never have more kids than can fit into a Tahoe ;)
{10} Money no option, would be at the top of your "Grown Up Christmas List?"
A nice house (that's paid for!) here in NC... followed closely by a new Tahoe or Range Rover (also paid for ;) )
{11} Other than Christmas, what is your favorite holiday?
I used to love my birthday... but not so much anymore now that I'm "old" haha I also looove Thanksgiving but it seems like things are just too crazy around the holidays right now with a tiny one.  I look forward to getting to experience the holidays from a "child's perspective" when our babies are a little older!

Here are my questions: (I'm only 1/2 as fun so I'm only going to ask 5 questions and nominate 5 blogs) ha :)
1) What is your happiest memory?
2) Where is your favorite spot to vacation? (on a dime or going all out?) Why?
3) How do you keep the romance alive in your marriage (or relationship if dating?)
4) If  you had more than enough money how many kids would you want? Where would you live? Why?
5) What is your favorite thing or place in your home (besides the humans hehe), why?

And for my 5 nominees:

  1. Agh, thanks for the nomination! I'm gonna think about that one. I could probably do the 5 that you did, but 11 is more than I can come up with. I'm confused about number 5. Your parents were married and Charlie Frank was born before you were 12, so how were you an only child 12 years? By the time I met you, at 10, you weren't. Maybe I'm thinking wrong. I do not know how you are going to get 2 car seats in the backseat of that Mustang! I'd be looking for a hand-me-down minivan already!
