Nude It... not what it might sound like

The Nail Files
Thanks all of you who left me awesome feedback last week about some great top coats.  Overall, I heard the same thing:
Seche Vite!

I went to Target and they had that brand but only the base coat ,but not the top coat, so when Raleigh Grace and I did our shopping on Wednesday, we went to Ulta.  We found it for $9.95-- Of course I had a coupon for $3.50 off a $10 purchase so I had to find that "one" more thing.  I did good this time, even my hubby was proud-- I purchased this nail polish that was only .99 cents, so I still SAVED money ha!
Essence in "Nude It" ha!
I'll be honest, I was not so sure about the color at first- I went from, "its alright," to "It sorta looks dirty," to "I actually kinda like it!" all in a matter of minutes (I do think it would look better if I were more tan-- come on summer)!
I was also a little skeptical because- lets be honest here- it was cheap! I have no complaints though, it went on great and really one coat was enough for coverage, I just added another for safe measure.  Even if I never wear this color again it only cost me less than a dollar- I will definitely be picking up more of these in different colors (next week lavender!? maybe!?) in this brand!

and as for the top coat: Seche Vite...   Let me tell you- I do not have enough great things to say about this wonderful top coat but here are my fav's
-dries super fast (and the coats under it)
-leaves your nails super shiny
-it actually KEPT MY NAILS FROM CHIPPING!!!!
Look at that shine! Omgosh, love the top coat!
what do you think about the color?

Y'all! I haven't painted my nails for years because I never could find a top coat that worked.

This one worked like a charm!

I painted my nails on tuesday using a base coat, two coats of polish and the top coat.
I painted on Tuesday so by today I could update y
all on how well it stayed put.  I have to say, my nails look as close to flawless as they did when I painted them!  (I also added a top coat daily just for safe keeping ;) )You can tell near the tips of my nails that the polish has started to "wear down" and its peeling up a little at the tips (I think this might have something to do with the base coat I used)... but its not chipping! {yippee!}

What do you think about the color??

  1. Very nice! I have been trying to find a very pale, nude pink for a long time and just haven't found the right shade. Of all things, I think the Kardashians came out with some polish and one of the colors looks like what I'm looking for. I have acrylic nails and get them done every 3 weeks, so I don't buy polish, but can I just say I had no idea how expensive some of it is now! I thought OPI polish was around 5 bucks, but now it's closer to 10! The color I just had put on Wednesday reminds me of either Easter eggs or jelly beans, it's a bright purple. Makes me want spring to be here. :)
